Once again, CANCEL the CORONA FLY-IN. Flying to Corona seems to be jinxed.
Due to many fires, smoke reducing visibility in some areas, a TFR East of CRQ stretching to the mountains and many fire-fighting civilian and military aircraft in the area, a number of pilots feel uncomfortable making a Fly-In.
We’ll do the Fly-In to Corona on June 22. Note, it will be the fourth Sunday of June, versus the third Sunday, which is on Father’s Day.
