Let's go to CORONA, May 18th

April fly-in had to be cancelled again.    We'll go to CORONA next month, May  18th. One of these days we'll get to try out the new restaurant there.

Next Fly-In will be to Corona on Sun, Apr 27th

There was a goof and we mistakenly scheduled this for Easter Sunday.
The new date is April 27th.

Tony's Captain's Log - 3/16/2014

Hi Guys,

  The Fly-In to Riverside on Sun, Mar 16 was done on a CAVU. It was supposed to be a hot day, but we left RAL around noon before the forecasted 90+ heatstarted.

  Five people in three planes made this one.

  From SDM Dennis came in his RV3 and from MYF John & Tracy flew in a 172 RG as well as Jim & Tony in a C337.

  We ate in the patio of D & D Café and did the usual hangar flying.

  Next Fly-In will be to Corona on Sun, Apr 20. And yes, they've finally opened a new restaurant there... the Corona Airport Café.

  My cell will be on until around 0945 lift off for any last minute changes.

Tony's Captain's Log - Next is Riverside on 3/16

Hi Guys,

  Great weather for the Hesperia Fly-In on Sun, Feb 16. After a couple months of cancelling that flight we finally made it there.

  Five people in three planes made this one. Flying out of SDM was Dennis in a RV3, from SEE came Kurt and Denny in a A36 and from MYF came Jim & Tony in a C337.

  We couldn't ask for better WX, but the winds at Hesperia were a little squirrely and made us work a bit.

  We had a good time doing the a long "hangar flying" session at the Mile High Café.

  Received a couple suggestions for Riverside (RAL) next time.

  So next Fly-In will be Riverside (RAL) on Sun, Mar 16th.

  Hope to see you all at RAL's D & D Café.

Going to Hesperia on Feb 16th

Hi Guys,

  Initially I received an overwhelming vote for the Fly-In to Hesperia on Sunday, Jan 19th.

  However, there's been a change. Four of the pilots voting for Hesperia

sent me emails and would rather stay home and watch the two divisional

championship football games this Sunday.

  Is anyone else coming to the Fly-In? Let me know ASAP.

If no one else is coming, we can cancel or re-schedule Hesperia to the following Sunday or February.

Flying to Hesperia (L26) on Jan 19th.

Hi Guys,
 For the Jan 19th Fly-In, I received 7 suggestions. 4 of them for Hesperia (L26). So the Mile High Café at L26 is where we'll go.

 Three is a lucky number because this'll be the third time we've scheduled for L26.
